Even with open heart surgery behind her, five-year-old Lamy’r still had a lot of love in her heart left to give. A lot of that love went toward her passion for Disney® princesses. With a wave of a magic wand, her wish to go to Walt Disney World® came true.
Lamy’r and her family flew to Orlando from the U.S. Virgin Islands filled with anticipation. They arrived at Give Kids the World Village in awe of the hospitality. She even received a cowgirl hat to wear when she got to ride a horse. The enchantment only grew as she entered Magic Kingdom®. Lamy’r gave Belle a big hug, and she showed Mickey Mouse her princess Minnie Mouse toy.
The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique welcomed her with open arms. Lamy’r was transformed into Princess Elsa, complete with an icy blue dress and a blonde braid. She was ecstatic to receive an invite to meet Anna and Elsa in Fairytale Hall. Her makeover was the crown jewel of the many captivating activities she participated in.
“My daughter is a very loving child. Due to her illness, we have not taken a vacation in four years. She still has a hole in her heart, but God is protecting her,” Lamy’r’s father said. This trip was the perfect way to begin her happily ever after.
